I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in
fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to
inhabit my days, to allow my living to open
me, to make me less afraid, more accessible,
to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my
significance; to live so that which comes
to me as a seed goes to the next as a
blossom, and that which comes to me
as a blossom, goes on as fruit.
~Dawna Markova~
I rediscovered this quote this morning, and although I am quite sure I have shared it with you in a previous post, here it is again. I believe we all need gentle and consistent reminders to live our lives fully, keep our hearts open always, work through fears, take risks and remember we can continually make a difference in this wonderful world in which we live. I look at these sage words of Dawn Markova as wisdom that came to me as a blossom and that I am sending out to you as fruit – as food for thought, food for the soul. I’ll leave you with this thought.
Is the life I am living the life
that wants to live in me?
~Parker Palmer~
