A soul mate is an ongoing connection with
another individual that the soul picks up
again in various times and places over
lifetimes. We are attracted to another
person at a soul level not because that
person is our unique compliment, but
because by being with that individual,
we are somehow provided with an
impetus to become whole ourselves.
~Edgar Cayce~
Once the realization is accepted that even
between the closest human beings infinite
distances continue, a wonderful living
side by side can grow, if they succeed in
loving the distance between them which
makes it possible for each other to see
the other whole against the sky.
~Ranier Maria Rilke~
Eddie and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary last month and I want the world to know how blessed I feel to be sharing my life with this man. The jury is still out on my belief about past lives, but I do know that when I met him for the first time, he seemed familiar. Our history is long and somewhat complicated, and I do have a sense we were destined to be together, but whether our relationship was predestined or a matter of chance, I’m happy and grateful that we’re together now walking hand in hand through this extraordinary life we share.
Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.
That is why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.

Having the chance to spend some time with both you and Ed here in Truchas, your connection was clear, obvious and beautiful–the thing I think every human being yearns for. You both are exceptional beings and I, too, am grateful that you’ve come together.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. xxoo,SE
Dearest Suellen,
What lovely words, brought little tears to my eyes. I am so happy for you and Eddie and believe that, as you have already said, that you were meant to be together.
Love you both,
B
suellie,
I love the Rilke quote! I’m hoping Bob doesn’t read the blog before tomorrow, because it will be that quote that i put inside the anniversary card I just made for him. For us, it’s tomorrow-28years!
