Beethoven said that it’s better to hit the
wrong note confidently, than hit the right
note unconfidently. Never be afraid to be
wrong or to embarrass yourself; we are
all students in this life, and there is
always something more to learn.
~Mike Norton~
I believe in God, but not as one thing,
not as an old man in the sky. I believe
that what people call God is something
in all of us. I believe that what Jesus,
Mohammed and Buddha said and all
the rest said was right. It’s just the
translations have gone wrong.
~John Lennon~
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient of living,
it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong
side of a telescope. Which is what I do, and
that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.
~Dr. Seuss~
It’s not given to people to judge what’s
right and wrong. People have eternally
been mistaken, and in nothing more than
in what they consider right and wrong.
~Leo Tolstoy~
The secret of being wrong isn’t to avoid
being wrong! The secret is willing to
be wrong. The secret is realizing
that wrong isn’t fatal.

I can’t say I was excited when first seeing this week’s photo challenge theme, but it was easier and more fun than I thought it would be. All I had to do was browse through my photo library to find many photos that went wrong. And I also came across photos that represented wrong in some way – at least to me. The photo above of Steve having fun in the confessional reminded me of the many times I knelt in that little dark space on the other side of the priest trying to think of wrongs (sins) I might have committed. And, I think Hannah thought it wrong to put the feather on her head. She doesn’t look like a happy camper.
What I really liked about this week’s theme is that it got me thinking of how many times in my life I didn’t act or respond because I thought I might be wrong; and all the times I argued my point just because I wanted to be right – gadzooks! I’m happy to say that I’ve become wiser in the murky waters of right and wrong. I no longer hold back thoughts and feelings for fear of being wrong and not looking good. I now have no investment in being right, and can easily agree to disagree, and if I’m wrong I have no problem admitting it. When I hear of things that go on in this world that I feel absolutely are wrong, I send out a little prayer to the universe for healing. And maybe most importantly, I now trust my inner voice to decide what is right for me, rather than looking outside for the answers.
Clear thinking at the wrong moment
can stifle creativity.

Love is like a Rubix Cube, there are countless
numbers of wrong twists and turns, but when
you get it right, it looks perfect no matter
what way you look at it.

The artist never entirely knows. We guess.
We may be wrong, but we take
leap after leap in the dark.
~Agnes De Mille~
To keep your marriage brimming,
with love in the loving cup,
whenever you’re wrong admit it;
whenever you’re right shut up.
~Ogden Nash~
Confidence comes from not always being
right but from not fearing being wrong.
Peter T. McIntyre~
I didn’t fail the test, I just found
100 ways to do it wrong.

Love is never wrong.

Once again I want to thank the brilliant minds at Word Press for helping me to step outside my creativity box.

Sorry I am just now catching up on your posts. What a neat take on “worry”! I forgot how much Hannah apparently disliked the Halloween headress … poor thing.
