There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind,
your talents, the creativity you bring to your
life and the lives of the people you love. When
you learn to tap this source, you will truly
have defeated old age.
Today is Norm’s birthday so let’s all celebrate and raise our glasses – Happy Birthday Norm! The photo above was taken 16 years ago at his birthday party. Gadzooks – time flies! Although we can’t stop the clock and our bodies do bear the signs of the passing years, we continue to grow, learn, love, laugh and keep our hearts and spirits forever young. In some ways our spirits get lighter and brighter as we grow older, as we get wiser and understand better the preciousness of our lives.
Norm manages to keep himself young because he lives life fully – no moss growing under his feet! He loves to golf and is often out on his bike or at the gym. That’s why he looks so good! He’s a great cook and isn’t afraid to try a new recipe and put his mark on it. He makes a mouth-watering lasagna and yummy oatmeal cookies. Normie loves to laugh and is a great entertainer – he tells a joke better than anyone I know. He keeps his creative spirit healthy by working with wood, making beautiful furniture. He’s always up for a new game, and I bring this up because he has become an avid Bananagrams player, a game I have been trying for years to get Ed to play – unsuccessfully I may add. He’s curious, eager to learn new things. Norm has many friends because he IS a good friend. He is truly interested in other’s lives and is a good listener. I am blessed to have him in my circle of friends. [Thank you Betty]
The more you praise and celebrate
your life, the more there is
in life to celebrate.
