You only live once, but if you
do it right, once is enough.
Life is a game that must be played.
~Edwin Arlington Robinson~
In the end, it’s not going to matter how
many breaths you took, but how many
moments took your breath away.
A man’s age is something impressive; maturity
reached slowly and against many obstacles,
illnesses cured, grief and despairs overcome,
and unconscious risks taken; maturity
formed through so many desires, hopes
regrets, forgotten things, lovers. A
man’s age represents a fine cargo
of experiences and memories.
~Antoine de Saint-Exuprey~
To be seventy years old is like climbing
the Alps. You reach a snow-crowned
summit, and see behind you a deep
valley stretching miles and miles
away, and before you other
summits higher and whiter,
which you may have strength
to climb, or you may not. Then
you sit down and wonder
which one it will be.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow~
Eddie turns 70 years old on September 26 and I have no doubt that he has the strength and energy to keep reaching new heights. He has no fear of aging and loves to keep moving, learning, growing, exploring – enjoying life. Edward Leon is the love of my life and the perfect companion to grow old with. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWARD.
We’ll be celebrating Ed’s birthday next week in France. Stayed tuned for pictures of the festivities.
