Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what
we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into
acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It
can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a
stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of
our past, brings peace for today and
creates a vision for tomorrow.
We stayed at the Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm on our first night in New Mexico, located on the outskirts of Albuquerque. This was our second stay at the Inn and I am so very grateful Eddie discovered this place – a perfect start to our holiday in the Land of Enchantment.
“Enchantment” – A magic spell; charm or bewilderment
One could spend a lifetime at Poblanos
and never fall out of love.

The Inn is set on 25 acres of fields, trails and organic gardens, what was once a 19th century working dairy ranch. A stay at the Inn is truly a memorable experience. I could go on and on about so many things – the food, the rooms, the wonderful lavender bath products, the Farm Shop filled with many great books, kitchen goodies, all things lavender, delicious food products…, but, what I find the most enjoyable is talking to the animals.
The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There were many little carved nativity scenes set up both inside and out. These charming little figures took me back to my childhood when we all looked forward to putting up the crèche.
Here we are, December 24, 2011 – a time of celebration, love, and gratitude for all we have. Sending you all best wishes for a warm and memorable holiday. Love, SE
