Road Trip – Day 3

A traveler without imagination
is a bird without wings.

~Moslih Eddin Saadi~

All journeys have secret destinations
of which the traveler is unaware.

~Martin Buber~

Our suitcases were piled on the sidewalk
again; we had longer ways to go.
But no matter; the road is life.

~Jack Kerouac~

Travel is more than the seeing of sights;
it is a change that goes on, deep and
permanent, in the ideas of living.

Day 3 was a long one – 8 1/2 hours from Provo, Utah to Farmington, NM.  Once again the scenery took my breath away over and over again, which saved me from focusing too much on my body and how it was tightening up from my neck all the way down to my toes.  But, complaining aside, it was another beautiful and enjoyable day.  We are just 200 miles from Galisteo and our home for the month of May.  I’m ready, and even eager, to get into the car again this morning.
