Fun with Haiku

Letting go of fear
I free my mind of worry
Making room for joy

Delicate flowers
Growing out of parched, ochre earth
Desert wonderment

Infused with serenity
My body lets go

As mentioned in an earlier post, I am writing Haiku, almost daily in fact. It may not be Haiku in it’s purest form, however it feeds my creative spirit and I’m having a lot of fun in the process.

Open heart and open mind
Trust whatever comes

  1. Love your Haiku. Just heard the DW cd where he talks about poetry and the depths it reaches, so different from the spoken word, so….keep it coming. They’re wonderful!

Grow…ing…out…of…parched….och…re….earth. Feels like eight beats to me. Rattle, rattle, rattle….how was the sun??
