Friends and Food

He who receives his friends and gives no personal
attention to the meal which is being prepared for
them, is not worthy of having friends.

~Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin~

This is one of the amazing dinners Ed and I had with our dear friends, Susan and Bob last week  at their home in Washington, Maine.  The beautiful meal was definitely worthy of our friendship!  The baby back ribs came from locally, humanely and ethically raised pigs, the kale from Susan’s garden and the corn from another local farm.  The food was absolutely delicious – satisfying both body and soul.   A lot of love went into this dinner.   Sharing food and wine with friends is definitely one of life’s greatest delights.

  1. What a sweet surprise….glad you mentioned the ribs….it looked like we were just eating corn! It was the best having you with us, cooking with us and sharing our meals. So much love to you both!

That corn looks inviting… Pass the plate please. 😉

  3. I so agree! Nothing better than to eat, drink and be merry with friends! Margie
