Let Your Creativity Shine Through

DSC09869We should not forget to enjoy
the experience of daily creativity,
whatever that may entail.

~Diane Carter~

Creativity is the mother of all energies,
nurturer of your most alive self.
It charges up every part of you.
When you’re plugged in, a spontaneous
combustion occurs that ‘artists’
don’t have a monopoly on.

Every weekend, here in the Santa Fe area, there are ‘art tours’.  We have spent almost every Saturday or Sunday of the last few months enjoying these tours.  It’s a great opportunity to meet the artists in their studios and talk to them about their work.  What we find are people who are doing what they love to do and, although their lives are not always easy, they continue to follow their passion to create.

Yesterday we were in Abiquiu, Georgia O’Keeffe country, and, as always, I came home after a fabulous day of meeting interesting people in a breath-taking environment,  totally inspired, reminded that creativity is essential for my well-being. I believe we all need to be reminded of our innate creative potential so I’ve decided to do a week of quotes that might help you get in touch with the creative being that lives inside you.

I have two questions for you:
What do you need to
make your creativity shine through?
Why do you keep ignoring it?

Lucky you to have the art tours! … to meet the artists, see their work, go on a driving adventure, and get inspired!
