Most of the things we need to be most fully
fully alive never come in busyness.
They grow in rest.
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass
under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the
murmur of water, or watching the clouds float
across the sky, is by no means a wast of time.
You must rest now. Rest for longer than you are used to resting.
Make a stillness around you, a field of peace.
Your best work, the best time of your life
will grow out of this place.
Rest nurtures creativity, which nurtures activity.
Activity nurtures rest, which sustains creativity.
Each draws from and contributes to the other.
~Kim John Payne~
Rest and be thankful.
