Sunday: A Day of Rest and Gratitude

Most of the things we need to be most fully
fully alive never come in busyness.
They grow in rest.

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass
under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the
murmur of water, or watching the clouds float
across the sky, is by no means a wast of time.

~John Lubbock~DSC00311

You must rest now.  Rest for longer than you are used to resting.
Make a stillness around you, a field of peace.
Your best work, the best time of your life
will grow out of this place.

~Peter Heller~

Rest nurtures creativity, which nurtures activity.
Activity nurtures rest, which sustains
creativity.
Each draws from and contributes to the other.

Rest and be thankful.

Amazing photos and once again, matched with beautiful quotes.. I practiced this well on this mini camping trip

I’m getting to know my new camera but I’m still on ‘automatic’ – lots to learn. Why is it so hard for us to rest??? It always is a bit easier when we go away. The photos of your camping adventure were enticing. Fun in the pop-up.
